Road Master Assault "Bobber"

Beitrag von SkR8Pn »

I'm starting a new build out of a Road Master mtb frame "Assault". I have wanted to try and build a bobber for a long time. Nows the time..!

I started tonight.... First the chop:)
Bild

Then more cutting/shaping.. I forgot to take pics but the seat tube and bottom bracket/ bb gussets are now done also..

Time for bed my friends... I will weld it together in the morning.

Yar off to a good start, m8. Keep us posted!
Aircon is only cool when you have it and others don't. If they have it and you don't, it's crap.

The frame is really nice. Looks like you mixed a dirtbike with a stretchcruiser. What about a fork with more rake? And different handlebar, please...

Some more rake .. maybe a Springefork?! ...

handlebars are difficult ... The frame has an angular shape so a moonbar wouldn't loock good... maybe you can make your own handlebar?

What about giving the fork a bit more rake? You could cut the rear part of the fork an bend it.

Bild

Then just weld a small piece of metal to the gap and maybe add some supportbars for more stability.

My drawing skills are not the best but I think you get what I mean...

Or you could try and make your own fork-crowns like these from Retrovelo.

Thanks 182 Grad...

Those retrovelo forks are great, maybe something like that with a monark style springer?
