The main reason for the wide BB (besides tire clearance)was to provide space for the pedal crank arms to rotate each side of the electric motor that will be mounted in front under the bottom bracket. The crank arm has a built in free wheel assembly to allow the motor engagement without the pedals turning.....more details to come...
